Most Accurate, Reliable, Maintenance-Free Sensor Technology
Stainless steel sensors that take full advantage of Cambridge Viscosity’s state-of-the-art technology are available for mounting in process flow lines in sizes and fluid connections that meet any need. They can be mounted directly in a tee, bypass line or through the side of a tank. They can be purchased with connectors and cable, or cable only, are rated for hazard areas, and accept all viscosity range pistons. Each includes an imbedded RTD for accurate temperature measurement.
In-line Sensors:
SPC/L301
Mates directly to a tee or pipe with standard 1.25” NPT connections. This sensor is ideal where threaded connections are desired. Typical applications include ink lines, coatings-cans, paints, wire.
SPC/L311 Quick Disconnect
Ideal for most process applications, including those that require periodic cleaning. This sensor has a quick disconnect flange for fast, tool-less removal from a process line. Typical applications include polymers, resins, and silicone coatings. Also available with 3-A Symbol Authorization for food and pharmaceutical applications.
SPC/L372(J) Flow-Through
Installs directly into a small diameter process line using ¼” NPT fittings. Available with a removable jacket that can be plumbed for precise temperature control. Typical applications include coatings-optical, film, oil analysis, and hydraulic fluids.

SPL 374 Flow-Through Sanitary
Installs directly into a small process loop using 1/2” sanitary fittings. This small sample viscometer has an integrated heater for precise temperature control. Typical applications include coatings-biotechnology.
SPC/L392 Flange
Designed with rugged four bolt, stainless steel SAE Code 61 flange, this sensor is easily fitted to any pipe line size over 1.5” (3.81cm). Other flange options (ANSI, DIN) are available. Typical applications include HFO, asphalt, lube oil, combustion, refinery and pipeline product streams.

SPL440 High Pressure Research
Industry leading advanced technology. The SPL440 installs into a high pressure pump through type system. Major technology breakthrough now measures gas and gas condensates. Multiple ranges; easy changeover. System measures viscosity, temperature and temperature compensated viscosity. Ten fold accuracy improvement over other high pressure viscometers.
SPC/L571 OILSENSE™ Minature
One of the world's smallest viscometers. Ideal for installations where form factor and small sample volume are important; including compressor, used-oil analysis, on-engine and hydraulic fluid applications.

In-tank Sensors:
SPL321
Hazardous location rated and can be installed in any size vessel. Used in applications where agitation is low and/or cleaning/flushing of the process fluids or particles may be an issue. The sensor head is attached to its stem at a 90° angle. It has 1" (25.4mm) NPT threads just above the sensor head and can be fitted to any pipe configuration without welding. Typical stem lengths can vary from 1-18 feet.
SPL322
Typically used in permanent in-tank mounted applications; recommended where the tanks have good agitation, employ regular cleaning/flushing and in fluid processes where entrained air bubbles can be an issue. The sensor head is permanently mounted at a 45 degree angle. Stem lengths from 1-18 feet are available.
SPL324
For use in small reaction vessels in non-hazardous areas where fluid volume is between 1 and 3 gallons (3.8L and 11.4L). The sensor head has a diameter of 1.2" (30.5mm) suitable for a 45/50mm port. The stem length is 18" (45.7mm) long and 1/2" (12.7mm) in diameter.
